Who is the Sweet Bandit?
As a former art student of the prestigious L.S.A.D and the University of Ulster, I accidentally fell into cake making and have yet to re-emerge!!
My first “real” cake was an experiment for my daughters first birthday, now don’t get me wrong it was and awful experience, it took the best part of a week, several sleepless nights, some crying and a good bit of swearing….
I vowed to never make another cake. It was too tough.
But my creative side had finally been released after being stashed away like an unwanted Christmas present for years, gathering dust. From there, it didn’t take my creativity long to fully escape, and before I knew it, I was making cakes, not just for my children, but friends too.
That was it, I was in too deep, the next step was to become a master in all things cake, I read 100’s of books, blogs, I watched uncountable tutorials, took any classes I could to improve.
As my design and decorative skills evolved, word of mouth came to play and my orders were coming from all directions.
My final step, the Holy Grail if you will, was to master the most delicious recipes, which after ALOT of research and testing (Slimming World to the rescue!!!) I have finally gotten to perfection!!
I am very proud of every cake I design and make and hope to push the boat out even farther in the future.
Oh, and did I mention I love cake?
