Q: When do I need to book my cake?
We kindly request a minimum three months’ notice for wedding cakes and four weeks’ notice for birthdays and other celebrations dependent upon our availability. To avoid disappointment, we advise booking as soon as possible.
Q: Do I have to choose one of the designs from your portfolio?
Not at all. All of our cakes are individually designed. You can certainly order a cake from the website but they are also there as inspiration. There is no extra charge for creating a design from your ideas.
Q: Can I incorporate fresh flowers in my design?
Certainly. We can provide these at an additional cost or you may order them from your florist and we will liaise with them. NB. Please note some flowers are not suitable for use as a cake decoration. Ask your florist for details regarding toxicity. We cannot be liable for any contamination to our food product that may arise from their misuse.
Q: Can I alter the design of my cake after booking?
Up to a certain point we may still be able to alter the design or design elements of your cake and we will be as accommodating as possible. If the alteration affects the overall cost then your balance will be adjusted and any additional costs must be paid.
Q: Can you deliver our cake?
Yes. We deliver cakes to Moira, Lisburn, Belfast, and Craigavon. We can also deliver further afield. Please ask for a quotation at the time of booking. Cakes can be delivered on a specific date but we cannot offer specific delivery times. Cakes can be collected from our Magheralin premises. We supply cakes in boxes suitable for transportation. If the cake is collected by either client or courier Sweet Bandit Wedding Cakes is not liable for any damage to the cake once it has left our premises. Cakes are to be collected by pre arrangement only.
Q: Do you do custom-made cakes?
Our specialty is to create fabulous custom-made cakes. We do it for all occasions. Whether if it is a birthday, anniversary, or wedding, we’ve got you covered. We’ll make it something so beautiful that you won’t even want to eat it after we deliver it to you.
Q: Do you have to-go cakes available?
Unfortunately, not. All of our cakes are made fresh and meticulously created to meet the criteria of each of our customers
Q: Are we able to personalise our wedding cake?
Absolutely. During our wedding cake consultation, we talk about any specific ideas you may have including colour schemes you would like, any particular sugar flowers you may want to adorn your cake etc.
Q: Help! We’ve changed plans and need a cake at short notice! Can you help?
In most cases we can with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice but if for any reason you don’t have the luxury of time on your side, we suggest you give us a call as depending on our cake schedule, we may be able to fit last minute requests in. We do advise early booking to avoid disappointment though!
Q: I’d like to have different flavours for each tier of my wedding cake. Is this possible?
Of course. More and more couples opt for different flavour tiers to maximise on the scrumptious flavours of cake they can enjoy on the big day!
Q: Can we organise a cake tasting session?
Yes. During the wedding cake consultation, you will have the chance to test our wedding cake flavours.
Q: I have seen a design of wedding cake in a magazine. Can you create a similar one for me?
Definitely. Feel free to show me any photo you have or describe what you have seen and I will sit down with you to design the ultimate wedding cake for you.
Q: We’re not sure how big a wedding cake we need. Can you advise us?
Absolutely. We can speak to you about the number of guests you have and how many people a certain size cake will feed and you can decide from there.
Q: I ’m not sure what sort of wedding cake I would like. Can you give me any inspiration?
